Scientific Products, an ATS Company is expanding our team and have immediate opening for aMechanical Assembler!


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • The use of drills, saws, punches, reamers, files and other power or hand tools as required.
  • Fasten parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips or other fastening devices.
  • Wire power components and connects them to main electrical box. (provided by electronics).
  • Adjust parts for proper fit, alignment and function.
  • Checks critical operations and performs basic start-up function tests.
  • Connects “water” or “DI Water” hoses
  • Starts system, observes operation, reads gauges and instruments and adjusts mechanisms such as valves, controls and pumps to control level of fluid, pressure and temperature in system.
  • Dismantles malfunctioning systems and tests components.
  • Replaces or adjusts defective or worn parts to repair systems.
  • Insulates shells and cabinets of systems.
  • Installs wiring to connect components to electric power source.


Qualifications

  • Relevant experience is preferred.
  • The employee is regularly required to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • High School graduate or GED.

  • Work in compliance with divisional health, safety and environmental procedures
  • Refrain from removing or altering safety devices or guarding unless hazardous energies are controlled through lockout-tagout methods
  • Report any unsafe conditions or unsafe acts
  • Report defect in any equipment or protective device
  • Ensure that the required protective equipment is used for the assigned tasks
  • Attend all required health, safety and environmental training
  • Report any accidents/incidents to supervisor
  • Assist in investigating accidents/incidents
  • Refrain from engaging in any prank, contest, feat of strength, unnecessary running or rough and boisterous conduct
