Moana New Zealand is leading the way in oyster farming, having implemented ground-breaking technology and farming techniques over the last five years that is transforming the way we farm and harvest oysters, to create a superior oyster, that will outperform all others.
We have one permanent oyster Farm Worker job available at our Northland site in Whangaroa. Join an established, hardworking team and learn the ropes of oyster farming, and be part of unlocking our growth and profitability.
If you’d rather be working in the fresh air than sitting in an office, aquaculture could be a good place to start your working life. Like other types of farming, the field requires a lot of practical know-how, and what better place to get it, than working for a premium oyster farm business.
No day is the same. You might find yourself checking stock on farms, harvesting oysters, removing old infrastructure to make way for cutting edge, new flip farm system or assembling oyster baskets and undertaking general farm, yard or shed duties.
With the opportunity to learn on the job, while being supported in achieving qualifications from a Skippers Licence where you can lead a crew to gaining a Certificate/Diploma in Aquaculture there are multiple pathways to grow your career at Moana.
