Production Technician

As a Production Technician at our manufacturing site, you will have an oopportunity to become involved in a diverse range of activities. You will be working on the factory floor manufacturing antigens in accordance with standard operating procedures. And you will also be involved with documentation, quality checks, troubleshooting process deviations, and corrective actions to support process improvement.
What You Will Do
- Operate equipment and perform physical manual tasks and processes in accordance with SOPs.
- Document all tasks in batch records and worksheets in accordance with Good Documentation Practice.
- Maintain good housekeeping.
- Plan daily workload.
- Communicate clearly with other members of the Manufacturing Team and other departments to ensure the smooth flow of product, samples and documentation.
- Minimise deviations in the manufacture of product by using knowledge of processes and problem-solving techniques to thoroughly investigate deviations and perform root cause investigations.
- Implementing corrective and preventative actions.
- Implement changes to production documents and or processes in accordance with GMP.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of production processes and systems by completing assigned Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA).
- Ensure the highest possible safety standards are met by taking responsibility for your own and others’ safety.
What You Must Have
- A Science or Engineering degree is preferred but not essential.
- Prior working experience in a manufacturing / production environment is desirable.
- Exposure in a pharmaceutical or biological environment is preferred. However, exposure in other similar environments handling raw materials will be considered. This might include food processing, milk production, petrochemicals or relevant laboratory experience.
- Enthusiasm and a desire to learn and comprehend the “big picture”.
- Adaptability to change.
- Keen eye for detail with excellent organisation skills.
- Initiative and the ability to work independently.
- Ability to follow processes & SOPs.
- Understanding of cGMP
- Good skills across the Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Knowledge of SAP and/or cGMP will be an advantage.
